Background:
Dario Maestripieri is Professor in Comparative Human Development and Evolutionary Biology. His research interests focus on the biology of behavior from a comparative perspective. One area of research examines neuroendocrine, ecological and evolutionary aspects of social behavior in nonhuman primates. Another line of research examines evolutionary aspects of human mating and parenting. He was awarded the 2000 APA Distinguished Scientific Award for Early Career Contribution to Psychology and a Career Development Award from the National Institute of Mental Health. He is a Fellow of American Association for the Advancement of Science.
