Background:
Edward A. Snyder's research interests include industrial organization, antitrust economics, law and economics, financial institutions, and public policy. His research has been published in numerous leading journals including: The Financier, the Journal of Comparative Economics, and the Journal of Law & Economics. Each year, Snyder teaches the course "Economic Analysis of Major Policy Issues" with Gary S. Becker and Kevin J. Murphy.
Prior to becoming Dean of the Graduate School of Business in 2001, Snyder served as Dean and Charles C. Abbott Professor of Business Administration at the University of Virginia's Darden School from 1998 to 2001.
Snyder is the co-editor of the Journal of Law & Economics and a senior scholar at the MacLean Center for Clinical Medical Ethics at the University of Chicago.
